Getting Started with Exploding Discounts

✅ Step 1: Enable the App Embed Block

Before creating your first discount, make sure to turn on the App Embed Block so your Exploding Discount appears on your storefront.

• You’ll see a message in the app that guides you to the right place.
• After enabling the App Embed Block, make sure to click “Save” in your theme editor — the app won’t work properly unless you do.

You can also customize the appearance of the Exploding Discount pop-up through the theme editor. Feel free to adjust the design to match your brand or stick with the default style.

🎯 Step 2: Create Your First Exploding Discount

Go back to the app and click the “Create Exploding Discount” button at the top right or center of the screen.

In the setup flow, follow these steps:

1. Name your Exploding Discount
   You can enter a name or use the randomly generated one.
2. Set a trigger condition
   
   • Trigger after a visitor views a specific number of pages
   • Trigger after a visitor spends a defined amount of time in your store
   • Trigger when a visitor views a specific product page
3. (Optional) Prevent repeat triggers
   Check the “No Previous Exploding Discount Triggers” option to avoid showing this discount to visitors who have already triggered another one.

🛠️ Step 3: Configure the Discount Settings

1. Set a discount lifetime
   This is how long the discount will stay active after it’s triggered. The default is 10 minutes, which works well in most cases. You can adjust it to suit your offer.
2. Write a clear description
   Let customers know what the discount is for. Mention any conditions (e.g., minimum purchase, applicable products) to avoid confusion.
3. Choose your discount type
   
   • Percentage off
   • Fixed amount off
   Enter the value of the discount. Make sure it provides real value — this builds trust and improves conversion.
4. Set any purchase requirements
   If the discount only applies under certain conditions (e.g., minimum cart value), add those here.

📋 Step 4: Review and Launch

At the top right, you’ll see a summary of your settings.

• If everything looks good, check the “Active” box to turn it on.
• Click “Save Exploding Discount” at the bottom to publish it.

🧪 Step 5: Test Your Discount

Open your storefront in a private/incognito browser window, and trigger the discount by:

• Visiting the specified number of pages
• Spending the set amount of time on the site
• Viewing the chosen product page

You should see the Exploding Discount just like your visitors will.
